I got recognized at least twice at each of the four parks we went to during our spring break weekend. I think I've definitely become better at navigating the situation than I used to be.
The first time I was recognized I want to say was in 2023 at Cedar Point, I was still getting used to the vlogging thing and had brought my partner-at-the-time up to the park and heard someone yell "FlightOfTaylor??" across the Millie Midway. I looked around for a second before being like "Oh, right! That's me!"
Over time I've been recognized a little bit more often, especially from TikTok, but usually moreso on special days at the park, like NYE or Opening Day.
This trip was weird because these were just normal park days and it kept happening. I love posting about my adventures and talking to people about parks but somehow I never know how to navigate the conversation. Especially on the exit platform or with ride ops.
It is a skill that will come with time, I suppose.
I hate to do rankings because I worry about my recency bias and find it incredibly difficult to compare different types of coasters to each other but there are some coasters I just can't get off my mind.
